A test with a DVB-T rod antenna that can be pulled out and comes from a DVB-T stick revealed that the reception deteriorated drastically. We have not found of 12 existing stations only 4. The second attempt with a TechniSat DVB-T flat antenna (Super DigiTenne) that brings very good results in weak areas and work on my second TV outstanding and no dropouts, brought the same bad result. Therefore, I tend to the conclusion not aerials are crap, but the adapter is totally inappropriate for external antenna connection. I bought the part because I wanted to have an undisturbed reception and recording because I wanted to try whether any more channels are displayed on my cable connection. Unfortunately, both not working and so the part as a life experience (in the price) is meant for media scrap.
For best reception, and full 12 channels here in the southwest I have with the internal short rod antenna !!!
Addendum: Today I have before my recession ordered DVB-T antenna of Vega obtained, which is offered here at Amazon. Did they immediately tried and lo and behold, this I have all 12 stations of our area and it seems like there were no fluctuations or interruptions in reception also quite strong during the time of the test. So I have to at least partially my opinion that the adapter part is useless, revise. It seems it does matter to the proper antenna. The test applies to iPad 3 and iPhone 4S with tizi.tv.
