The Rocksmith 2014 Edition eradicates very many mistakes of its predecessor. Better note recognition, the incredible session mode, improved multiplayer etc etc.
The features can be so read the product description.
But: The new version also brings a lot of trouble with it. I got from Ubisoft before the release a version and was probably one of the few where Rocksmith almost ran smoothly. That has now done. With me are piling up as the dropouts during the (enhanced) video tutorials.
That is the "game" hangs, at least every second unit, once fully on.
Then changes constantly (I think soon with each update) the volume of the guitar.
Times the votes goes smoothly, other times I have to the level of my recording device (ie Rocksmith cable) rotate at least 50, or I shall not go beyond the votes. Rocksmith is the level defaults to 17. Why no one knows ...
Rocksmith 2014 was also well optimized for onboard sound chip.
Mich reached very many emails with the message "scratchy, distorted sound".
These problems can be solved by disabling an entry in the .ini changed or the sound card and the onboard sound activated ... Let's be honest, who knows something like this?
On the subject of support makes Ubisoft once again really of talk, in a negative sense.
Requests on facebook only be answered with links to the forum, which are not at all effective. Support queries with standard emails.
That's a No and is the biggest annoyance. I think I have in my Forum more people with Rocksmith helped as the entire support team of Ubisoft.
The support of Ubi ends again at the front door. The money keeps pouring yes anyway.
Another gripe: The combination -> Steam - U-Play--
You need to get both to Rocksmith running in the PC version. At first I thought it was not so bad, now annoys's.
I'm a fan of Steam, a fan of U-Play, I will not, because it provides no added value and only charged the system.
Who has no proper affinity for PC or Who cares that even at one or another little screw has to be turned to get Rocksmith running, be warned!
I can not recommend without reservation, since I am aware also crashes the console versions.
In terms of gameplay, I give Rocksmith 2014 still full five stars because it's fun. Ubisoft does not even deserve a star.
