This 900 dpi color scanner meets this need for simplicity and portability.
- It offers 3 different resolutions: 300, 600 and 900 dpi in two output formats as possible: PDF or JPEG. The scanned images are saved on a micro SD card is not included with the scanner. I took a class 4 card 8G, a few euros, which is more than enough for this scanner.
- Small size and lightweight, it is easy to handle. Simply drag the scanner top down on the document scanner. The movement is guided by rollers that are located under the scanner. Two arrows on the side used to display the width of the scanned area (width of an A4 sheet). I expected to have to try several times myself, but I got a very good result on the first pass.
- The color reproduction is faithful. I did not test done on glossy paper. For a surface scanned roughly equivalent to an A4 sheet, the resulting file is 6900 KB in 900 dpi, and 300 dpi 1270 KB.
-It Then just plug scanner on a PC with the USB cable provided and the unit is seen as a storage device. The scans 100MEDIA appear in the file. I did not use the installation CD.
- In construction, the scanner seems a bit light. This is perhaps his weak point. It comes with a simple carrying case, which will protect it from dust but not shock. Installation of 2 AA batteries is done simply by removing the cover on top of the unit.
It comes:
- With an installation CD, carrying pouch, USB cable and a microfiber cloth,
- But without battery and microSD card.
In conclusion, I think it is a lightweight handheld scanner, efficient and convenient traveling. It gives very good results and is very easy to utiliser.Ma only reservation concerns its apparent fragility, to do with use.
