Sound insulation: Pillows loudspeakers helmet completely cover the ears (known as Over-Ear headphones), which has the effect of naturally isolate outside noise. To give you an example, I have used Skype and I was almost surprised not to hear my own voice, which surprised me enough. I come suddenly to wonder if this is not more effective than electronic noise reduction that is found on many other helmets that do not cover the entire ear ...
Uses: I use the headset with my computer (games, music, movies, etc.) and to listen to music on my smartphone. The cable length (3.5mm, classic jack) is 1.5 meters which is very practical and gives a lot of freedom. At the 1.5 meter add a few centimeters through the coil-shaped portion that gives a little extra flexibility if the cable is beginning to stretch.
Comfort: The cushions of the headphones that come on the ears are comfortable to wear even for long periods of use. I would have appreciated against by a little more padding in the arch, so at the top of the skull.
Ergonomics: From a design standpoint, it was something more classic. The finish is reassuring and sturdy. Can be folded helmet so as not to damage it when the carrying. It would have been nice to provide a bag or carrying case to really protect the cushions.
Conclusion: Philips makes good products, it is often the software part that is not level. Out with this headset, Philips is simple but effective: for active noise reduction, no microwave, no volume control button. That's what I like about with this headset. It was no frills but a helmet to value great price.
