Yes, because the Raynox Macro front is surprisingly good! Whoever sets out in the macro world, that can collect first experiences and - depending on the lens - already achieve very useful results. Of course it is not about the last Quantchen sharpness and Pixelausquetscherei, but quite surprisingly useful results.
The less high-magnification DCR-150 is, inter alia, for flowers and other, slightly larger objects, the right choice and also much easier to handle than the DCR-250 with its very shallow depth of field and high magnification. While many lenses have a maximum scale of 5: 1 are provide with the Raynox-150 and 2: 1-4 1 to 1: 1 possible.
Of course, my Canon EF 180mm L macro to the EOS 5D III sharper and more defined as the combination of an acquaintance from Tamron 70-300mm with Raynox DCR-150 on his Canon 60D. But the images with the low-cost combination are therefore by no means bad. Even more outrageously something good.
The difference from the - in my experience actually useless - Simple lenses (see my other review) is that 150mm Raynox (as well as in 250) consists of several lenses, greatly reduce the inevitable aberrations of individual lenses (dispersion, etc.). The 150 series can be used in a wide range of lenses to good effect. The 250 is here much more demanding what is due to the higher magnification. The universal mount meets at both its purpose, matching screw Filteradaper are worth considering but.
First-class optics costs undoubtedly money. The Raynox DCR-150 so far is an exception, as it provides relatively good results for the price.
