Since I had convinced the two first Sirenia albums, it was clear to me that I need this short CD, but unlike the two albums, here very meager fare is served ... Already the opener "Sirenian Shores" is one of the worst songs that have been delivered Sirenia. Melodic catastrophic implementation of grandiose melody of "star-crossed" from the last album, the track has not even vocally brilliant achievements. The Grunts become unlikely dahingespien and Henriette has now not the gloss voice. Was "Save me from myself" in the original or a melancholy ballad, which had indeed fight an emerging boredom, this remix is a failed attempt by the Aufpeppens, inappropriate synth sounds and simply no innovation. Meridian, in the original masterpiece, (too many keyboard sounds to me it has as much in it to as acoustic cycle through) loses in this acoustic version is missing completely all Grunts, only the choral passages and Fabienne Gondamins quatrains alternate with a violin from. Here was not used from Meridian to make an acoustic version of the opportunity here was just cut together, which ultimately robs the song the soul. The Cohen classic "First we take Manhattan" is the first song of the average plate. With Emmanuelle Zoldan has finally found a strong female voice, can only totally convincing but not the song. For good result, there are still the very short title "OBIRE Mortem", which sometimes reminds me of "O Fortuna" from Orff's Carmina Burana. All in all, a CD that can be confidently standing in the store, even if all the tracks were previously unreleased.
