Since the first two albums Halestorm are very high up in my list of favorites. The band sounded cheeky, sassy, creative and inspired me absolutely. Songs like Love Bites, freak like me, Mz Hyde and many others have blown away. For this, the incredible voice of Front Girl L.Hale. Of course, I've bought the new album immediately, ignoring the partially existing in the media criticism. But I regret to say that the criticism is entirely justified. I do not want say the Into the Wild Life is a flop, because it is not but it is for my taste but then only average. The cooperation with a country producer is yet to be heard clearly. I do not really missing anything the band has previously awarded. The great melodies, the snotty riffs and distorted guitars. Personally, I like really just the advance put online singles. Everything else moves between nice and now I press the Skip button. Completely disappointed me were the ballads, which can not be carried away me and touching at any time. The sound of the album sounds a bit artificial, it simply lacks the aggressiveness, the distorted guitars and especially Lzzys screams. Partially the album from No Doubt and Pink might be, it all sounds too smooth, with no rough edges. I hope Halestorm reflect back on their old virtues, otherwise it goes to my favorites list quickly back down.
