If you compare the two competitors side by side falls on first, that the two backpacks augenmerklich differ only in width. Here the Mantona shows approximately 6cm slimmer than its competitor from Israel. This is the 1: 1 impact on the effective volume is obvious, but also in terms of comfort is here one of the main differences to find. Just lean people and women find in Mantona probably the better choice, as it gives them the slim width also backwards unlimited elbow room, while here the Kata and also much broader Photo backpacks, such as the Vanguard Skyborne 51, far more than standing on the shoulders and thus interfering with the movement of the arms backwards. Because with a more delicate stature in most cases probably be balanced and assets and will, tons of "heavy photographic equipment through the area, to lose weight, the smaller loading capacity is therefore even more welcome than a compromise.
More obvious differences are then additional side zip pockets at the top of the Kata, which does not offer the Rhodolith. With two backpacks the zippers are not blocked or covered, so that both the Mantona and the Kata come up with a separate rain protection; former crumpled in the upper compartment, the latter neatly folded in a separate bag.
When dividing the competitors are similar then continue. A large, multi divisible by partitions with Velcro compartment in the lower 2/3 of the backpack for camera and lenses, each of the front and both sides available is complemented by a large, one-piece, top-access compartment at the top 1/3. Here, however, wins the 3N1-30 with 8: 6 - the width makes the difference.
A plus point accounted for the Mantona again for themselves: 2 rubber profiles protect the outside sewn to the bottom of the backpack from damage and to some extent also pollution when parking. The Kata has no protection here.
If the Mantona So the better Kata? For me: NO! ! !
The main drawback: the more internal arrangement of the zippers allows the Mantona Rhodolith NO to packaging a professional camera with battery grip. Both my D700 and the slightly more compact D300s with flanged MB-D10 does not fit on the depth forth in the T-shaped subdivision of the backpack. The better space utilization of Kata doing here, however, no problems. Then allowed to the battery grip away, the D300s with flanged 55-300mm glass fits comfortably in the separated, mean T-compartment. A 70-200mm fit then but only with great difficulty and hardship and personally I would no longer transport fitted with a clear conscience for this combination. The lateral upholstery of Mantona is then but not so thick as that would filter the occasional harder bump completely.
Other details justify wound up but the handle the more expensive product: interior and rain protection cover of Mantona stink significantly to chemicals that Velcro fasteners used are much cheaper and certainly not as durable as that of the Kata, the waist straps of Rhodolith are not like the 3N1- 30 additionally padded in the back and lace thus like me sideways into the kidney area with better built "people. The padding is in Kata then overall much better and also the overall quality impression is offensitlich a completely different league.
Nevertheless, the Mantona is certainly not a flop.
As so often in life, it is important, what is the purpose of the purchase. For whom the backpack should be, what equipment is to be transported, for which occasions to serve the backpack and most importantly, how much I want to eventually spend on it?
For (advanced amateurs and semi) professionals using appropriate equipment I can not recommend Mantona Rhodolith. Women or lean people, which transport a smaller (D) SLR equipment during a day trip or a sightseeing tour comfortably and still want to have fast access through the side access to your camera, find in this backpack is certainly an interesting alternative. Why not just leave if you are interested send times and try? Comfort and handling can be experienced only in Natura halt and not fathom ... and virtually trouble-free with the Exchange on Amazon is finally goes not take risks!
