To connect the card reader, a USB 3.0 cable is supplied, which is not yet a matter of course in such devices. Thanks to the Micro USB3.0 socket on the device may be connected as it is for example also used for most current mobile phones with an ordinary Micro USB 2.0 cable.
It is also very convenient that Micro SD card can be inserted directly into the card reader and does not require cumbersome handled with an adapter to the SD format here.
From the reading and writing rate I'm also thrilled thanks USB3.0 is now even with the fastest CompactFlash cards only the speed of the card is the limiting factor and not the reader. Before I took the blue Hama Card Reader 35in1 (though the old model, not SDHC compatible). One GB of photos from an older 133x CF card to copy has thus lasted several minutes, the new Transcend manages approximately in 30 seconds. With CrystalDiscMark3 I measured here over 27MB / sec, which is far more than the actual specifications CF133x.
Can absolutely recommend the Transcend card reader!
