--------------------------------
I needed a little cheap Presenter no frills. By-products of Siemens and a few few Billigheimern, the Labtec Wireless Presenter came in the close range.
Appearance & Processing
--------------------------------
The Presenter is about as big as a normal mobile phone. In the upper half of the four function keys are arranged in a circle, with the laser button in the center. Down he is tapered. The color is (except the icons) black-silver. But you can see that indeed everything in the picture.
Size and shape of the hand very well adapted, so that the presenter disappears almost completely in the hands.
Service
--------------------------------
The four buttons are arranged sense. There are two keys for left / right present with which to get one sheet in front or back. Above is the start / stop button, with which you can call up the presentation and closes again. The image can be switched completely black and the lower key.
Last but not least is located in the center of the button for the built-in laser pointer. The pointer is sitting up in the top of the unit and does exactly what you expect from him.
So all quite simple, but more is not even required for a good presentation. Just take the part in the hand and you can start.
Receiver
--------------------------------
The receiver is a small USB stick. It is connected to the computer and it really runs, because it is recognized as a USB mouse / keyboard. No annoying drivers and therefore also no problems.
The receiver can be fully plugged in when not in use in the Presenter. Thus, the Presenter is switched off and the batteries are thus spared.
Compatibility
--------------------------------
I have nowhere to explore an indication that the presenter runs only with certain operating systems. Personally, I have it under Windows (Microsoft Office) and Linux (OpenOffice) tested to work anywhere without difficulty. I suspect that it also runs on Mac, because it is indeed identified as a normal USB input device.
The Presenter works with wireless on 2.4 GHz. Through a small button at the bottom of the channel can change, so you can avoid conflict with other wireless devices.
Reach
--------------------------------
According to the manufacturer, the range is up to 10 meters. This distance I can incl. Various obstacles in the room confirmed.
Instructions
--------------------------------
The instructions are executed in many languages (including German), but very short. The keys are explained in note form and more knowing there is also no.
Power Supply
--------------------------------
The energy supplied by two AAA batteries (Micro). According to this guidance should keep depending on use about three months.
Delivery
--------------------------------
- Presenter + receiver
- 2x AAA batteries
- Instructions
Disadvantages
--------------------------------
Sometimes it happens that he jumps instead of a film two times. So you need something to watch out because that is really only pushes the buttons very briefly like a mouse.
Conclusion
--------------------------------
A simple, functional and also cheaper Presenter. Who does not pile on additional functions or, as with many expensive devices, a clock needs, is well served with the unit unless long ranges are required by an entire hall.
