The lantern is very small, but still amazingly high luminosity. The base takes on the 4 AA batteries and is surrounded by an aluminum cylinder that makes a very robust impression. Since the light radiates all around, they could possibly use for some purposes dazzle the user. But to hang up and illuminating a space or an area, it is well suited. I use it as a temporary anchor light on the boat. Even with the smaller Leuchstufe it appears very bright. The surrounding lighting is ideal for this.
