I am with a notebook, a friend from deleting the recovery partition. I always do, regardless of whether there is sufficient space available or not. Here are a total of only 32GB incl. Windows 8.1 is available, what is clear to me too little. My first attempts to delete the recovery partition failed. On Windows itself you can not ran there and the device proves to be extremely touchy when it comes to booting from auxiliary tools like Parted Magic or Acronis True Image. Cause here is the 32bit UEFI, which is very rare. Standard is a 64bit UEFI and begin the difficulties.
So if you want to have "full control" over its small disk proceeds as follows:
1. Load Driver for Windows 8.1 32bit from the ASUS website
2. ISO file from Microsoft Windows 8.2 32bit Microsoft load (just check out Google typing; is legal!)
3. External Keyboard and Mouse Connect! Without the driver Windows does not recognize the built-in keyboard, the touchpad still.
4. are installing via USB drive or USB flash drive. It delete the recovery partition.
5. Install drivers and raufspielen updates.
Warning: This "loses" one license Windows 8.1 with Bing. It has not been able to read the installation key to enable me at delivery, the new installation. For that I had to take a different license.
All in all a small fine computer for little money. A little bitchy (installing Ubunutu is currently also not possible without problems (wireless and sound does not work)) but also really cheap and has no fan installed. 100% passive cooling. Very nice.
