It is true that the supplied wire is rather short. Personally it does not bother me because I did not use the pointer on the roof (too delicate balance on the ladder, with the tools between the teeth, and Sat finder hand ... ). I made my connection in the house, directly behind the decoder. Obviously with a friend on the roof to adjust the dish. I think this is the way to proceed; which justifies a short accessory wire.
I made two facilities in three days. The first time, everything was in little hair. The second time, I had to tweak the scoring with the installation screen of the decoder. Result: excellent signal, with 85% power. Picture perfect.
Without Sat finder, I have probably spent a good hour. There, it was resolved in 10 minutes.
In conclusion: product advisor, easy to use.
