This light is tiny, measuring only 11.5cm x 8.5cm and 4cm deep, but despite having only 4 LED produces a surprising amount of light. It is really simple to install, with a single central screw so that there is no violin to try to drill two holes perfectly level exactly the right distance apart (always a problem in the rough stone walls) . After charging for a day before the start, he is now set to further enlighten another dark corner (we have a lot here in the deepest, darkest central France). Before the night is totally dark, the lights will automatically dim light mode (which produces a pool of adequate ambient light) when motion is detected and the light becomes bright - very bright. Where ours is installed (about two meters above the ground) motion is detected about 2.5 to 3 meters and the light stays on for about 15 seconds before returning to the dark energy-saving mode.
At present, in early summer, there are lots of sunshine and the unit is on a south wall so there is no problem with the battery life during the short nights. It remains to see if this is still the case during long winter nights next short, dull and overcast days. I'll update this review when that event occurs.
For now, however, I am perfectly happy with that tiny light, discreet and incredibly bright.
