A change to the Slim model I had before a long time. In the old console I had at that time
installed a 320 GB HDD, which is no longer, however, worked flawlessly; over time have
- Anyway - error crept into the file system of the hard disk that the
built tools were no longer to fix. The search for "faulty data" proves
"well-stocked" with a PS3 almost as "Search needle in a haystack".
In addition, indeed there was a possibility that the disk itself is no longer in order.
For Slim-K model.
The fan noise has become much quieter and not high-frequency, although
the fan is now smaller. During data transfer from the old to the new console had
I direct comparison. The drive noise has remained about the same.
The positioning of the read head is still "very good" to hear. Too bad that there's nothing
has been optimized. The reading of DVD's with imbalance is quite noisy, but playback
done at a reduced speed and as it does not interfere further.
The "PlayStation 3 - Konsole 80 GB" has a power consumption 85-120 watts.
In the "PlayStation 3 - Konsole Slim (K-Model)" it is only between 65 and 85 watts.
These values I myself measured.
Why the power consumption is specified with 250 Watt in the technical data (K),
eludes my understanding.
The elimination of the wireless light and the Disk LED
as well as the reduced resolution of Bluraywiedergabe
via the component output for me means no loss.
About taste should not argue with it:
I like the more inconspicuous design of the PS3 Slim better
as this massive designer waffle iron.
I take a star off because of the lack of backwards compatibility with PS2 games.
