So a live recording must be!

I must confess to my shame that my access to Peter Gabriel has fallen increasingly difficult as a solo artist ... until I discovered this live recording. Since then, it is one in my record collection to the few CDs that I would in the worst case can not do without. This has primarily three reasons:
First, the audio quality of this live recording is (from the compositional We need not to mention) outstanding. Many other reviewers have already pointed out. Crystal-clear sound and still live atmosphere. Second, the sound of the pieces to be better for my taste than the studio versions, because the band simply plays excellent and the whole a neat boost of vitality with are on the way, the filigree in Mr. Gabriel's studio arrangements occurs sometimes in the background.
And the third reason is, as I now realized, "Paula Cole". Since I have the Growing Up Live DVD, I know what a tremendous contribution this woman has done of her singing as a counterpart to Peter Gabriel for this recording. Although it has charm, when the Master occurs together with his daughter, to the pressure and the vocal intensity Melanie Gabriel does not reach easily. (What's not a shame, because - look almost good even Sinead O'Connor and Kate Bush in the original releases of Blood of Eden and Do not Give Up compared to Paula Cole - for my taste.)
Conclusion: If you only have money to buy one Peter Gabriel CD, then it should be this. More hits in better quality, there is no one on Best Of.
