We get delivered here one of the most diverse albums of recent years. The diversity that is taking place on the album, ranging from Muse typical bombastic rock (Supramecy), on purely electronic elements (Follow Me) up to 80 embossed Funk Rock (Panic Station). And so it should always be, far too many albums that are thrown on the market, are designed so unkind that it hurts.
What I really like about Muse, whose penchant for grand Arrangement. Take the example of the already said Survival. The choral arrangement can be easily measured with an opera. Or the symphonic work at the two 2nd Law Tracks. Easily could these two be confused with film score. And when Follow Me is a shown: electronics can be very well brought up so that a cold back runterläuft before bombast.
I must also mention praise Matt Bellamy, proving once again on this work, what a great voice he has. I'm still not out of the wonder that triggered in me the last note of Survival. The line "I need to love" from Madness leaves it again advised me every time to dream, as clear, soft and powerful at the same time the voice of this man. And then that pulls through the entire album.
The two songs sung by Chris fall not negative from the frame. His voice sounds very good and is great staged. The often mentioned comparisons to Steven Wilson I can not understand this, I think his voice sounds different.
The introduction to the album succeeds super, Supremacy is a great elected intro piece that paves the way directly to the diversity. The closing track the 2nd law: Isolated System could not be better marshalling out from the album then: A beautiful track that very carefully presented its development, thereby developing an incredible force.
What ultimately remains to be said? It's a great album, which offers something for everyone. An album that, in my view no filler contains. An album that was staged with an attention to detail that one other vain. The strong buy recommendation I need I think no longer to address. 6 out of 5 stars on my part!
