It should not be a cheap part, but also not too expensive device. Thus, the price range remains around 200 EUR. My choice fell after extensive research on the Technaxx TXX3867 BigTAB with 9.7 "display.
Ordered (okluge), delivered quickly (DHL), quickly unpacked (son).
Turned briefly orientated, my wireless SSID was offered, selected input WPA2 passphrase and the unit was connected to the Internet. It took less than 5 minutes.
Some details:
The unit came with Android V4.0.3 Build RK2918. On the Technaxx website a firmware update is already available. The support e-mail is fast and friendly. I had it sent the manual (pdf) me recently.
The adaptive network connection via LAN cable succeed via USB with separate RJ45 adapter. For access to the Internet outside the home, you need a surf stick or a WLAN hotspot.
In the technical data, a SIM card slot is noted that the device has not. In the settings you will find this also corresponding entries that I've disabled. Maybe a successor model can be equipped with this feature.
Resume:
My wife is the tray with its 750 grams (reweighed) a little too hard. I do not mind that.
It seems stable in handling, touch screen can also be operated with two fingers (zoom function) at low pressure. The Home screen has four panels that you can make user-defined. The screen is big enough, with about 20x15 cm, the resolution 1024x768 sufficient viewing angle from the side is also ok.
In the technical specifications still stands: "When you change the device axis, the LCD display turns 4-dimensional with". Whatever mean: This four-dimensional acting position sensor is fast enough and turns the window with only a short delay.
