Software top, copy protection / license system Flop!

The software itself is good and does exactly what it should.
She is stable, recognizes in 90% of cases, the missing driver and downloading and installing the driver works fine.
Against what I have no objection, however, something that is the licensing policy of Avanquest:
Apparently the developer has never heard of the motto "Never change a running system".
Why should I burden a computer running error-free with constant driver installations until these perhaps no longer running?
Really makes sense in my view, the software only if you often reinstalled PCs and wants to save the laborious search for drivers and wants to install newer versions, as the manufacturer of the equipment they offer.
However, this application does not work because the license code is detected after a few activations as invalid.
The support was unhelpful, I just got my license code, which I had already sent again, then indeed worked once or twice because the activation count is probably down set.
When I asked again why bittete or reset the counter, I got no answer, and that's not a permanent solution.
