Mounting material: Is this for a bar from about 2cm in diameter (such as a bicycle handlebar) and to adhere to a helmet, as per the included lashing for not beklebbare surfaces. Thanks to standard thread can also be used every digicam tripod. Too bad: I had the Cam want to mount it on two helmets.
Operation: Pleasantly simple. Video recordings will start and to stop with an oversized slide switch which can be operated well in thick ski gloves. Where: Front to take, is back from. Cam does not have to be turned on for the recording here. Recording start and end are indicated by vibration. Overall, very well thought out, the service at the helm without visual contact is easy.
The switch, which switches between 1080p and 720p, can be operated only when the waterproof cap is unscrewed. Photos are a bit harder without looking at the LED, but in image quality (see product image "from the balcony") you want anyway take any pictures. All other settings (30 or 60 fps in video, 5 or 12 MP in the photos) can be set exclusively to the PC.
Video quality: mixed. Wobbles are not filtered out, rapid changes between light and dark can withstand the Cam contrast quite well. The overall image is slightly pixelated and ugly. If you draw on with 1080p and expects the clip afterwards on Youtube-size (360p or 480p) down, the result is okay. On a 42 "-FullHD television the results are very unpleasant. The always-scale preview video clip in smaller quality is actually useless.
Helpful: with HDMI cable connected (supplied) allows the current image to the TV transmit. This makes about the proper adjustment of the helmet. Who by the way in the non-documented service on TV in despair: Cam switch, and all with the use an on / off button: A click: the next menu item, (really fast) Double-click: select the menu item. Held long sets uA abgespieltes Video start.
Conclusion: These video quality is also obtained with Actioncams for half the price, really better it is only at GoPro from 250 euros. The processing and operation can hardly be desired.
