Solid but not a milestone

Although I own the book version, but will only evaluate the normal audio CD and this is not one song.
(The book contains only a few variations of the cover, and the lyrics and beyond the live CD.)

My previous favorite Mew is (and remains) "No More Stories ...", the only CD that I find consistently well, where "Glasshanded Kites", closely followed.

Big surprises there to + - No, it sounds clearly by Mew. The sound resembles partly Glasshanded Kites. At its complexity +/- comes but not zoom. Small, nice, intervening gemogelte melodies as before no longer exists. Everything seemed all of a piece and the songs are more classically constructed. After the first few times hearing almost nothing is stuck. However, this also has the advantage that you can listen to the CD again and again. In the self-test it was one day nonstop not boring ....

For me the only negative outliers: "The Night Believer", cooperation with Kimbra. The song is to simply knit me to pop and the voice of Kimbra I do not like here, unfortunately.

One of the highlights with a little more complex architecture and a beautiful melody for me Rows.
