Solid, easy to use camcorder with good HD picture quality and good value for money

We bought the HF R506 to document the development of our son - probably a very typical purchase situation. Our focus here was not on a high-end camcorder with all sorts of technical bells and whistles, but on finding a handy and easy to use device that offers good image quality. The HF R506 meets these expectations quite excellent, and at a good price-performance ratio.
