The only variation in the K270: The right Windows key is missing. Keyboard shortcuts like Win + up to maximize the active window are only ambidextrous possible.
Otherwise the keyboard is solid. The keystroke is quite quiet, precise and sounds somehow not as rattling as cheap 08/15 keyboards.
I run at the same Unifying receiver nor a M705 mouse. The decor was very simple: Download and install program, "Add Device" button, mouse or keyboard off and on again. Done. Thus, they are connected to the same PC and occupy only a USB port.
Things that do not like it so much:
1. If the keyboard is not superscript it wobbles. The rattle on my wooden desk and feels annoying when typing on. Normally I never superscript my keyboard, with this it's not just different.
2. Occasionally (about once a day) jerky keyboard. That is, they swallowed keystrokes for about 1-2 seconds. They come only after this time together on the PC. This is particularly annoying when you play straight. -> Not suitable for gaming. But even when writing texts that bothers some.
3. The keyboard does not have the usual three LEDs, Num Lock and Scroll Lock missing. Especially the Num Lock LED is normally turned on. This makes the keyboard to find in the dark. I was at my old keyboard oriented always on the LED to see where the desk is.
4. The media keys could be better raised. Volume up / down / mute I find blind not as easy as on other keyboards.
For battery life and general life I can not say anything, I have the keyboard is not long enough (3 weeks).
