We must as a "transfer passengers" from the usual canister vacuum cleaners with hose not underestimate that you need some suction units in order to get used to sucking with stem and handle. I have repeatedly raised the vacuum cleaner in order to implement it, and only grasped the third suction, as you really have to take him. What I am is still schwertue that one for vacuuming in narrow gaps or under low cupboards - here show the disadvantage of the spherical shape - or remove the hose from the handle halfway and then almost like sucking with a "normal" vacuum cleaner hose can. But only almost. The vacuum cleaner is due to its low center of gravity indeed firmly on the ground, it remains with the hose but still hanging on the handle. Really good, I feel not still using the system even after a month. This is also the reason for point deduction. The device is processed as solid and has such a good suction, that I'm just disappointed that it feels counterintuitive so little with such a standard handle.
The instructions for assembly is well done, has me very annoyed at a crucial point. The telescopic guide tube of the hose included in the grip I had accidentally pulled apart and did not understand how I could push them together again. The solution reveals itself not directly: there is ultimately also a button for this, but sitting in one place, I have not so linked to my problem. In short, if the plastic tube would not be so well made, I would probably get the device already at this point broken.
Overall I am very satisfied with the DC51, but I'm not sure if I did not yet stay at my vacuum cleaner. The suction power is beyond doubt, but bugs me the handling of the hose still considerably ....
