Performance 5/5:
Since this is clearly about to see an entry-level tablet, the target group will thus probably be very satisfied. Presumably, "thanks to" the low resolution allows the A10 very fluid use. App launch times, switching between apps, scrolling in Chrome browser, etc. is working very satisfactorily. Have tried for testing asphalt 8, too, is quite easy to play, but I noticed that the Immersive mode did not work here, and the image was cut down.
Equipment 4/5:
A microSD slot is always welcome, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 more or less self-evident. The cameras are of course not good for Hangouts etc. but serviceable. These forward-facing speakers, which are very good for a tablet. A magnetic sensor for Smart Cover is available, but not one for the automatic brightness adjustment. In addition, an HDMI output, or at least SlimPort missing, ie video output is not possible. There is a version with 3G module (this I bought).
Processing 5/5:
The tablet is solid. By abeschrägten edges and the matte plastic back, it fits comfortably in your hand. With approximately 550 g, it is also relatively easy. Through a bit of pressure can be brought to creak a bit the back, however, clouds the overall impression on me not (lands already in a Smart Cover).
Battery 4/5:
The battery life is average. With moderate use to get loose by the day, with low standby for several days are not a problem (at least with deactivated 3G).
Software 3/5:
Lenovo has the device now updated to Android 4.4.2, as always with non-Nexus devices, the update supply by the manufacturer is rather poor. Lenovo seems so far but to make an effort. Whether Android "L" makes it to this device, however, may be doubted. So far there is no AOSP-based CustomRom to even be able to remedy the situation.
Lenovo makes the Android user interface largely untouched, but the pre-installed default launcher is an impertinence. Fortunately, this quickly replaced with Android (recommendations: Google Now Laucher, Nova Launcher, etc.). With Lenovo Bloatware is compared with other manufacturers - had recently a Acer in hands - even relatively restrained, but it struck me negatively that some apps (browser, camera, gallery, etc.) could not even turn it off. This is completely incomprehensible to me. Now 2 browser (floor and Chrome), 2 camera apps (Stock and Google), 2 galleries (floor and photos) are unnecessarily installed. Preinstalled is also an FM radio, could be of interest to one or the other, yes.
Conclusion:
Who can I recommend the A10? Primarily those who are looking for a low-priced as possible 10 "-Android tablet with 3G module and good performance, but can make any concessions regarding the display resolution. If 3G is not a criterion, but I would not consider it, but access to more Acer Iconia Tab 10 or ASUS Memo Pad FHD 10. In höhererem budget of course you get even better equipment (eg. Xperia Tablet Z, Nexus 10, etc.), I am referring in this evaluation on devices in the price range of about 200th
Addendum:
The included USB cable is ridiculously short (about 60 cm) and the tablet was completely unloaded upon arrival (had 15-20 minutes to the river before they could boot times).
