And just on this wave and rides this album on. Again illustrated by the announcement as the title of track 2 "Rich is Gangsta". Certainly Rick Ross is not exactly the epitome of inovative innovations in music. But as he has introduced with Maybach Music uniqen a sound - still one of my favorite tracks is "Aston Martin Music" - and that he has been attracting this introduction through consistently. However, this also brings no new features or Inovationen to light. The track "Mafia Music III" is by reggae influences not quite the Stereotypical Rick Ross sound and leaves a little attention. But the album is not made for an audience that especially a lot of depth of HipHop expected and much emphasis on new inovations.
Consistently catchy melodies and lyrics, the so - or something like that - would from other albums may originate, änderen it also little. Top-class features such as Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill & Big Sean, among other things also bring in nothing new. Track 14 is because unmistakably different. Kanye West featured the track and you can hear how so many out. And not just on the voice. He has left his mark on the song. But also makes the album will not be lifted in spheres in which inovative and imaginative artist shake hands.
On the one hand this is me, "We are the largest" real crap in the neck, but on the other side understands Rick Ross distinguished himself on this same old over and over again to be stirred without which there will be boring in the long run and packed him in smoothe, melodious and excellent tracks such as "Nobody".
16 tracks on the album for 16,99 Euro. 19 tracks on the deluxe version for 2, - Euro more. Is it worth it? Yes. Especially the track "Paradise Lost" is one of those already mentioned smoothen, melodious songs, which must be seen within a long tradition, with the Rick Ross was on this heavyweight in the hip-hop landscape. In this album the mastermind Rick Ross does not lose credibility, though he did not dazugwinnt authenticity.
My Conclusion:
With Mastermind Rick Ross reinserted a typical Rick Ross album before, ambitious not to distinguish themselves from the crowd, but well to deliver more to the "balance" more food and offers - as I said - unfortunately nothing new, what is not in this type was heard earlier. But nevertheless it is a good album - no question - because Rick Ross is well understood tracks consistent with good sounds, beats and melodies provided that you also like to hear repeatedly.
Fans will love Mastermind, newcomers get many good tracks to listen to.
Typical Rick Ross ... Was not to be expected.
