The positives first:
"Grave Encounters" takes place in a rather creepy asylum. While not quite as scary as that of "Session 9", but still. But disturbed me that the building is not very worn looked, rather, they seem to have been renovated not too long ago. Well bearable.
The beginning was very cool, especially a parody here was virtually brought to stupid Ghostbusters series. In part, this was very funny, as the gardener or the ridiculous media. I found great done!
The actors are fine, no one falls too negative on (except perhaps TC). The caretaker Kenny makes a very good impression.
The atmosphere is quite consistent. Especially as the horror truly begins and the so-called Ghostbusters downright k in my pants *** s I found quite entertaining. The increasingly dense hopelessness of the protagonists is rübergebracht credible.
Now for the not so good things:
At the beginning it is, if it were fashioned raw material. How is it then that some subtitles, etc. available? Could have noticed the directors.
Stupid I found the tour of the institution, here virtually all the creepy things are ever advertised as a precaution, so that one later not so startled. Voltage Technically a shot in the oven. Almost all shocking moments are therefore predictable.
Speaking of shocking moments: part succeeded in partly extremely ridiculous (eg hands, "scary faces"). Well there was more to it, a lot of a wasted potential.
The Story Twist morning when Kenny to pick up the crew again in my opinion is not so well, but you can also look different.
The ending was absolutely predictable.
Conclusion: It follows that it must be noted that you are dealing with a very average shocker. Nothing, nothing earth-shattering. For newcomers to the "found footage" genre worth a look, experienced horror fans will probably wring only a tired smile of this strip. Nevertheless, the film you can definitely look at as it is boring at any time and to entertain white.
PS: After I saw the cover of the DVD I had to film most like same resold. Saublöden the slogan "The World Horror phenomenon with over 23 million views on Youtube," could have been better saved. Even stupider than "based on a true story".
