Looking back on the last disc "El Camino" I've been thinking that the new, more pop direction of the Keys will be further expanded and be more and more distant from the snotty blues sound. But that is perfectly fine. Even at El Camino I needed, mainly due to the new vocal techniques, 3-4 attempts. This time was no different, even more beneficial because I was able to adjust to what awaits me about. The only drawback of this drive: too little guitar. I'm addicted to Auerbach's guitar playing and has been never disappointed. But this time was increasingly placed on synths and other instruments. Only the song "In Our Prime", where towards the end a kinky horny, soaked in effect, guitar solo is played, let me breathe. Unfortunately, there are such varieties not enough. Since one should resort to older albums so continue. My conclusion is this: Who is ready for something new and appreciates that the Keys approach each album with passion and work, will certainly not be disappointed. This one might first need a few laps to get along to the songs testifies to sophisticated, demanding music that reached a satisfactory level as always. Black Keys halt!
