But the soundtrack itself: The beautiful music, mixed with magnificent Christmas classics is a terrific accompaniment to as classic Christmas movie "Home Alone Kevin". Chris Cholumbus would of course can not find a beesseren composers as John Williams, who so far already with masterpieces such as "Indiana Jones", "Star Wars" or "Jaws" one of the most influential film musicians of our time was being or still. As I said, the soundtrack is a perfect mix of the enchanting score and classics such as "White Christmas" ...
Will be opened this wonderful CD with the song, which was nominated for the Oscar: "Somewhere In My Memory / Home Alone Main Title". On the one hand this is the main theme of the film and on the other a brilliant and warm, warm song that sounds so harmonious after Christmas, that one might think he exists always, like the other Christmas songs ... A boys' choir singing this great song and thus creating a magnificent atmosphere!
"Holiday Flight" is a short piece, that the issue of the departure of McAllister's, you could call it the "stress on". A very fast-paced and spirited piece, with unique bonds to "The Nutcracker".
"The House" leads the "house theme", and then goes into a nice variation of the main theme, but always remains very cautious basically. The "house theme" is heard already in Track 1 at the beginning and is somehow an interesting mix of Christmas spirit and risk, so the perfect atmosphere for the film!
With "Star of Bethlehem" brings us a Williams again, start a new topic. Also this song he wrote himself and also this charming song sounds like an old Christmas classic. This track is the instrumental version of the song, still very nice!
"Man of the House" starts again a bit more exciting and goes into a quick version of the "Star of Bethlehem" - the subject on, mixed with the main theme. In addition, here the first time, the "Gangster theme" played, the sneaky melody for the two thieves.
"White Christmas" is a very slow, but witty version of the classic, interpreted by "The Drifters".
"Scammed By A kindergartner" is a bit more discreet, with the "gangster theme" and describes beautifully how the two prepare to Diebeszug.
"Please Come Home For Christmas" is again Weihnchtssong. This I knew personally yet, but is also very nice ...
"Follow That Kid!" is a mixture of the gangster and "Star of Bethlehem" - theme.
The serene "stress on" returns to "Making The Plane", but quite without new material and how track. 2
"O Holy Night" and "Carol of the Bells" are also important components of musical Weihnachszeit. In America this is probably something like the replacement for our "Silent Night, Holy Night". Who knows, will know why they like or even must love ... Especially "Carol Of The Bells" is a beautiful piece that is only sung and that of the boys' choir, the used Williams here for his songs.
In addition, they are presented here as a church version and they made us feel like the Christmas service.
Even now the following "Star of Bethlehem" is not just the song version of the piece, but also located in this church style.
"Setting The Trap" is one of my favorites: The "Star of Bethlehem" - motif is supported here with dynamic beats and accompanied the scene when Kevin prepared ski the house.
With "Somewhere In My Memory" we hear a short version of the main theme in sung form, before heading into the finals with "The Attack On The House". Here the gangster theme is repeatedly varied, exactly how the main theme.
"Mum Returns And Finale" is a wonderful variation of the main theme, which strongly absorbs the listener and at the end is simply a listening pleasure!
"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is a melancholy Christmas song that represents the perfect mood for the end of the soundtrack, also one of my favorites on the CD!
With "We Wish You A Merry Christmas - Home Alone (End Title)" sounds the soundtrack not only in this wonderful song, but shows again the most beautiful subjects, especially with the still dreamy "Somewhere In My Memory" ...
With less than an hour runtime the CD is not too short and not too long and has just about everything there was to music in the film.
A must not only for fans of really beautiful film: This soundtrack everyone can sweeten the Christmas period and musical experience, when Kevin is home alone, and must protect themselves against nasty gangsters. John Williams is celebrating Christmas and besides offers a truly dreamlike soundtrack, full of love, warmth and fun, a strong buy recommendation!
