After the first consultation of the market, I had the candidates
Sony Alpha 35/55/65
Nikon D5100 and
Canon EOS 600D
taken into consideration. All of them - in my opinion - very good cameras in the consumer segment, with no one to do something fundamentally wrong.
My personal Enscheidung fell for the following reasons on the Sony A35:
- The Nikon does not support 16: 9 aspect ratio, so they eliminated me from.
- Sony A65 has indeed received outstanding test ratings, but is apparently not currently available (the production in Thailand will be drawn by the local flood affected), it also blew the targeted budget of me.
- A55 is already since 2010 on the market, is in a strong heat-video problem have image stabilization.
-A35 Since the summer of 2011 on the market, improved "durability" in Video over A55, but not swiveling display, relatively small housing, cheapest camera among the candidates.
Thus, the A35 and the Canon EOS 600D remain in the race and the fundamental decision between SLT and classic SLR. Here are my pros and cons:
- Image Quality: Here you can see most of the tests probably slight advantages in the EOS, but both cameras are at a high level.
- Viewfinder: The electronic viewfinder of the A35 roars visible in dim light, "wipes" for fast movements to, and you can see just not the "true image". But it also has advantages: Much of the information / parameters are visible at all times and in every picture format (16: 9) or image effect applies "what you see is what you get". He also, of course, allows the immediate review of the image after shooting, I find this - particularly in sunshine - very helpful. SLR purists might turn up his nose, but for me it's perfectly okay.
- Autofocus: Clear advantage A35. The fast phase AF also works with video and "Live View" very good. In contrast, in these modes, the contrast AF EOS is slow and tends to "pump".
- Facilities: The A35 me the panorama and the Auto HDR function have particular interest. Both also work out of your hands amazingly well.
Conclusion: For me, the Sony A35, especially if one takes into account the price, the favorite. I can really recommend the camera.
