Unfortunately, the image quality of the videos is not satisfactory for a camcorder is designed for filming!
In direct comparison with the bridge camera Nikon L820 (about 185 euros) are the videos with your camcorder sometimes significantly worse in every setting.
On the positive side:
- The sound recording is slightly better.
- The focus is faster.
- The image stabilization works very well!
- The Sony is extremely light and can be operated with one hand, the Nikon has to be held with 2 hands.
- The battery life is quite long
- The recording in MP4 format require very little space.
Negative is:
- The videos in MP4 format only HD and not Full HD.
In the higher-quality AVCHD format, the CX330 is filming in Full HD with 1920 x 1080 at 50 frames / s.
Visible better resolution compared to Digital Camera L820 is not but !!!
I maintain, in direct comparison to the "cheaper" Digital Camera L820 has a worse image quality seen in videos.
- The manual is insufficient and poorly explained.
- The photos are caves poorly and useless!
- The wide-angle could be larger, only 27mm (L820 has 22-685 mm optical focal length)
For me, the time for the normal, camcorder is over.
Digital cameras, good video are clearly better and have properties that can be used just as well produce good photos.
For frequent makers to take any pictures, the CX330 is quite recommendable, especially the handling, battery life and image stabilizer are worth 5 stars.
