After a bit of searching I came across the HS 1200 by Creative. I was completely satisfied with the current actually and thus had good experiences with Creative, I finally got myself opted for the HS 1200.
First, everything looked fine. The installation went pretty fast from the hand (was 7 unhesitatingly recognized by Windows) and after a short test and everything worked just fine. I have it for the time being leave the supplied drivers from Creative to install, because it was what was so strongly criticized in the run (cause of crashes, causing incompatibility, etc.). The sound quality is matched up the range was fine and I was really happy with it. Until then I have tried it over a longer period.
After a long game of Battlefield Bad Company 2 I noticed that the headset starts to crack and whimpering. Did I just thought nothing of it because it occurred very rarely and did not bother. However, that has been getting worse over the days and culminated in the complete loss of connection to the "base station". It helped each time only one and off the headset so that the connection is restored. But that would still not as bad as every 30 or 40 minutes from time and again to turn the headset was still manageable.
The really bad part is the voice transmission. In several hours of Skype session I was able to attend only as a passive listener after some time actually, because my voice rang the other so penetrating in the ears. The voice sounds like a robot out of a bad science fiction movie and is quite annoying. You could me at first, although normally perceive but by no later than 5 minutes, the vote has been repeatedly tinny and only the well-known and off helped. I then tried it again the drivers from Creative, but it was exactly the same problem.
One more small note:
I do not know if it's because I'm wearing glasses, but after about 2 hours pressed the part but also quite painful on the ears. No trace of comfort.
Conclusion:
Who wants to just watch wirelessly from your couch music or movies, which I would highly recommend this part VL. Still limited. But who wants to use the headset for the purpose to which it is actually intended, namely to communicate via Skype, TeamSpeak, etc. should rather resort to a wired version. I had to return my unfortunately again.
