Aesthetic point of view, I like its "fighter / military", it makes me think of the walkie-talkie that I had a child, he looks pretty robust air and good quality.
Just in its multi-functions:
- AM / FM: the sound is quite good and is captured quite well thanks to its adjustable and retractable antenna
- Light function: press once to turn on the flashlight with 2 light intensities, and 2 times for the distress beacon with 2 small red lights
- Outline of the phosphorescent light in the dark, it's very convenient to find his radio / charger in the dark
- Display of time and possibility to put a clock alarm
- At the back is the solar panel that can charge the tablet or phone
- Ability to add headphones, as radio is a small protective cover of plastic ... there ... I recognize that I am skeptical about his life, he's rather fragile air, So I always handled delicately (^_^)
The radio / charger has multiple power options to recharge electric appliances:
- Lithium battery that charges via micro-USB cable
- Solar charging, it should be 5 to 6 hours when the weather is set fair
- Crank it takes 4 minutes to turn right to benefit from a conversational minute sound as ten minutes and listen to the radio, so it is advantageous to have patience ... or not much !! much to say on the phone.
- Works on lithium batteries until they are exhausted and then passes on 3 AAA batteries if they are charged.
To charge the phone simpler anything, you just connect the USB cable to the port located under the radio and press the CELL button to start charging. Okay, I admit I am not reached 100% recharge my iPhone but still helps out here
You will understand, I am conquered by this little gem !! ... I almost forgot to specify that besides all its strengths, the FRX4 is waterproof ... Despite all its advantages, one would dragone been welcome, especially on the right side there is a place to put one, that little more would have been handy to keep the radio handle, hang in his backpack or even a tree branch ( ^ _ ^) and I would have liked to program more radio waves instead of one.
