Important for my new headset I have great ears, good sound and a good microphone, and a good P / L. The choice was then on the G430, as were praised lt. Reviews of Sound and mostly the micro.
Note: USB I had tested the headset on both the front panel as well as directly to the board!
The first impression: Yes! connected via USB, there are good sound on the ears. 7.1 surround is easy to get used to, to bring the stereo earphone powerful tone.
The second impression: Scrap! connected via USB microphone overrides so hot that an ugly ensteht scratch. To see if it is on the micro, I have connected the headset jack via the onboard sound. The result here: up to the onboard sound generated by the weak signal and blechernde overrides the mic no piece. Ergo -> USB soundcard crappy. I was about to let the thing go back.
Remedy shafts now finally the Asus Xonar DG sound card for little E's. The sound is again strong and - what is important to me - the micro takes crystal clear and without noise or clipping on. Perfect!

I feel as if the mute switch for the microphone slowly gives up the ghost. I have sometimes when shooting a misfire when talking in there, besides still noise comes after the speeches several times pulsivartig to that but then calmed down. RMA about Amazon unfortunately is no longer possible, if I still turn to the manufacturer - yes I'm still thinking. Real shame because the micro itself is really good. I think I swing then it out to a table to micro for my shots. Sound Technically, the headset but still ok.
