I use since the first day of availability Eneloop batteries, which was the beginning of 2006. One may also not believe these batteries are all still in use, and no one has at least as extreme reduces the capacity that I have to replaced. That would be the first generation UTG, then came UTGA and UTGB. Meanwhile, Sanyo was swallowed by Panasonic, and the battery has the type designation BK-3MCCE. The batteries are manufactured in Japan still, and so far I've found the new battery also no difference in the handling (loading and also use). I really used Eneloop cells in all devices, which are designed for AA batteries. Since there is a remote control, a radio clock with outside thermometer, high performance flashlights (NiteCore EAx), or even a digital SLR. I have at my equipment, the AA batteries can use any found who has spurned the Eneloop battery.
Conclusion: The eneloop batteries in 2006 were super cells, and are today still. It's really one of the few products where the quality has probably not deteriorated, but remains at a high level. I reward something with product loyalty. I have in my household no AA (and AAA) batteries in use any more, everything is going with Eneloops which saves me the batteries leaking.
