I was an absolute fan of the 2 1st novels Mr. Guenassia who had successfully combined astutely individual destinies in the great history and this special time of the grafted into the adult world with its Cornelian choice .. . This third novel was well reported and so it is with impatience and great pleasure that I got attacked ... and found myself a little disappointed! True, the author wanted to renew, and the story goes this time in the world today. The hero navigates between India and England ... but this time, the charm operated less ... everything seems a little less successful, less subtle, and especially I was less embedded in history. While previous novels were living original adventures were taking us elsewhere and we did come across colorful local characters, special, they are lovable or detestable, we are here in a more linear personal quest. While the hero lives, that's certainly true of incredible things, everything is told us too easily, most often to the past (the events have already occurred), things go without the hero has actually had to hold on and psychological evolution is ultimately unreadable. The episode of the return to India do not add much, and the suspense of the investigation conducted revealed few surprises. Then comes the end, with its rapid, unavoidable revelations, even "forced", which bring much more. This is a book that reads easily, with pleasure, but without the depth and subtlety of the previous games.
