At first I was skeptical, because the housing is not necessarily the most qualified and I feel there are things certainly far better. However, the camera fits comfortably in your hand and you look at the camera closely, one realizes that the processing on all doubt.
But the most important was and is for me, a good all-in-on camera to purchase, with which I can also go on trips, without my DSLR or system camera take, which then also always include some lenses. The image quality should be doing as little as possible suffering.
And I've definitely found and with the SX50HS and to this day can not find anything better, though I'm constantly on the lookout.
The SX50HS makes for the rather small sensor and the outstanding zoom range amazingly good, even very good pictures. The create even current models, as the successor to SX60HS, does not even begin.
Well, you have to give up WiFi, and the display has a lower resolution and the video function is in SX60HS even better.
But the most important and remains the image quality and is in the SX50HS simply outstanding. As I said, I do not compare with a DSLR or system camera, even with a high-end compact cameras, but only and alone with other bridge cameras.
I own a lot of current cameras, DSLR, system and compact cameras - various manufacturers and each top models, all of them would perform beyond the scope.
The Canon SX50HS has so far managed the longest to stay with me, except for a few other models that are so extremely well and will migrate to the display case. And probably the SX50HS someday it will stand as one of the best bridge cameras of their time.
Who is currently looking for a very good bridge camera, would not hesitate to resort to this camera.
