To obtain a statement: support to turn it, to enable the support statement, he chirps confirmation tone, positioning it in the positions in the pavilion, you can expect the "long" beep snapshot and read the temperature!
More concerns the question of good positioning, which for me was a real source of problems and errors in the readings (never in the same place under the tongue or armpit eg ...): the same shape of the tip comes naturally arise in the ear whatever the angle of insertion. It also has a good positioning witness I suppose useful when the temperature is taken of a baby or child who can not testify to this positioning.
The IRT4020 has a memory to keep only the last statement, which appears on the ignition of the appliance. Is useful when the 4520 has 8 storages which seems more sensible ...
The interchangeable tips system is excellent in terms of hygiene and must allow a familly use, but its cost must be relatively high for use .... Being the only one using it, maybe I'll see to clean rather than sytèmatiquement change.
ADVANTAGES:
- Ease of use
- Ergonomics
- The product looks good
- Read display
- Memorizing the last statement
- Hygiene disposable tips
Pitfalls:
- Weight and consequent volume that does not make the transportable trip (the fault of two LR6?)
- Only memory (unlike the IRT4520 8)
- Protection system / storage not as optimal as the IRT4520 (just a cap on the end instead of a half-shell may contain disposable tips A cover would have been nice.)
- Cost disposable tips so systematically replaced (advised by Braun)
Brief happy with my purchase, but I think that given the price difference and dared to hope to keep it, I should opt for IRT4520 which is a bit more functional.
