Since I my reference headphones by AKG can not take on the go and want to, I had bought in the meantime diverse portable headphones.
With amongst other things a Koss Porta Pro Koss KSC-75 Sony MDR-EX300 SL.
About the "classics" of Koss I want to lose a bad word, because they are not open to criticism of its balanced and for a variety of types of music really well suitable sound.
Only the comfort is not optimal for me - but I use it every now and again.
The plug of Sony does have a (still) acceptable sound but the comfort and the sound of nothing for longer or qualitative listening.
So I kept searching and found - hear by good review - initially the Philips SBCHP400 who I really liked the style.
Short: Unfortunately the Philips can convince sonically little. "Below rum" is he as a woman with no legs ... because hilfts little if mids and highs of very good quality. The seat is quite ok - but ... see below. Anticipation only this: He acts "at attention" to the head but the shake of the head he does not keep long.
Alternatively, I bought the here rezensierenden Panasonic RP-DJS200E-K.
Sonically - especially in comparison with the aforementioned Philips is a true "revelation." Something ailing middle, good treble and downward convincing sound - perhaps a bit too much bass - but frankly, I'd rather have a little more bass, and only a little to Deut.
Powerful, not intrusive plays the headphones "Classical with the London Symphony Orchestra", aggressive beats of heavy metal, techno or dance from sovereign and can really impress with this versatility ultimately.
In all 4 sources on which I operate the Panasonic, I can stand to available music volume is far from full use - not because of Panasonic would not vote technically - my ears do not keep out the. Even at the highest, for me as an amateur musician tolerable volume (and since I'm already loaded), the Panasonic will continue to play a balanced and clean and he could even more.
The highlight of "Long listeners": The earcups of RP-DJS200E-K are not only collapsible, rotating 180 °, but hung in its suspension by about 15 degrees "from the center". This carries the headphones to (usually) forward slightly prominent ears full account and the maintenance is pleasant (even pressure distribution) and fixed so that the Panasonic also at jerky head shake only moved a few millimeters at the top, although we tend to get the feeling he sat quite relaxed on his head - that I was very surprised (especially in comparison to the more easily covered from head Philips (see above), but it caused quite a sensation at the strapping head).
The processing of the components is m. E. after not as robust as it has praised the odd Rezensist here. The plastic is relatively hard-Plasik-standard and thin - and is not against torsion stable. The hinges must demonstrate a long-term use, whether they are long-lived - quite frankly I doubt - but I trust them already 1-2 years.
The ear cushions are very pleasant and even after 2 hours walk with headphones "smoke" is not the ears. As for the demarcation from ambient noise, the result in my opinion is ok. I even quite like to hear namely whether decides that in roars from behind a car or plunge screaming kids from the side street. The insulation is dimensioned so that the sounds that matter, still can hear (depending on the used music volume, of course), but can follow and enjoy the music exactly.
Since I have a high-end headphones for home, the Panasonic is the perfect complement for outdoor use. Sound, fit and price to win us over.
PS:
Small drawback, but that is not included in my Star award, is indeed pretty packaging, but such "patented gefalt-folding clips-folded" is that they unfortunately can not be used for storage when not in use the Panasonic.
