the orginalen Osram Xenarc with 4000 K were me just not bright enough. Xenon I could see really only at the roadside. The range and breadth of coverage was indeed ok, but I have not really seen the light on the road. Especially when it rains and on lit streets. For driving which was quite unpleasant. Ok the burners were min. 4 years old and had 137000 km on the clock vllt. Was it also because, however:
for the very good reviews and the very good price I decided the torch now. I make it short:
Light color: 5000 K are understandable, beautiful clear white light across the road, baking time about 7 hours, the blue light is not (a good thing), because it is physically not possible with the light color .... there exaggerates somewhat Osram
Illumination: wider cone of light, 20% more light and reach comprehensible, pleasant light-dark boundary (not too spicy), highly uniform light cone on the road, even in the rain only slight loss of light on the road
Driving beam: I can not judge exactly. Since the original burners were also very good because in addition to the bi-xenon still brings an H1 lamp additional light with me. Range: 400m
Price: 160 euros for 2 pieces are totally ok. However, the original price of nearly 400 euros for 2 pieces is not justified for the efficiency of the burner
Durability: I can not judge but with halogen bulbs Osram cuts not so well off. Let's see, driving with daytime running lights and signaling the first failure or when the light is poor. I expect at least. 100,000 km or 5 years of trouble burning time.
Purchase: full purchase recommendation! but'll probably change the next time the Philips buy (only for comparison)
Summary: very good lighting, good price, brand product, allowed ..... but there is still room for improvement in my opinion (if that is technically and legally possible but I can not judge).
Tip: Comparing please xenon new vehicles like BMW X6, Audi A4, etc. This light is not usually much brighter or has a not so properly allocable light color (color temperature Kelvin). Manufacturers construct partly their own Xenon burner and the light color in collaboration with the brand manufacturers (supposed to fit vehicle). And to get hold of the approval. When installing accessories burners may subjectively lead to a deterioration of the light ... I'm guessing here are the eligibility criteria more stringent, because of glare, etc. So do not be put off if you overtaken on the motorway a new car and an incredible light carpet pushes ahead of it.
