Here is really for all tastes! The templates are very easy to transfer on fabric, for example with soapstone or tailor-copy paper. In the featured motifs less takes the classic cross-stitch use, but there are techniques running stitch (Straight Stitch), backstitch (Back Stitch), chain stitch (Chain Stitch) or variants thereof in the foreground. However, the templates are not printed on a time counts, but this is not a big drawback in my eyes.
It presents some slightly reworked projects after the brief introduction. But the focus of this book is not on the individual projects themselves, but clearly on the extensive thematic-collection. The templates can find in my way, not only when embroidering and sewing (applying motifs on fabric) use, but I've used it several motifs for Window Color works. Using the supplied CD-ROM on which all subjects are on it, you can enlarge the templates at will on the PC and print out in the desired size.
The templates / designs are grouped into the following categories:
- Alphabet / Asian Chic
- Celebrations / Circus
- Embellishments / Farm Animals
- Flowers / Food
- Fruits and Veggies / Garden Time
- Space / Sweet Shoppe
- Trees and Leaves / Under the Sea
- Weather / Winged Wonders
- Woodland Animals / Woodland Fairytale *
*) See "Woodland Fairytale" I found a very long sought by me motif of Matryoshka: super-cute!
On the German book market have nothing comparable can be found; only a few (boring) cross stitch template books, whose motives have not met my taste. Quite different in this cute little book: the motives are really herzallerliebst and beautiful!
Have fun reworking!
