I opted for the JVC KD-DB95BTE because it has DAB + and Bluetooth (very important!) - IPhone and iPod is compatible.
Other radios which I have those features can not be found, at least for this price.
The radio is serving in a Polo IV TDI variant with Canton speakers front and Blaupunkt speakers behind.
For the DAB + reception active Blaupunkt DAB + Autofun adhesive antenna is installed at the right front of the windshield inside.
The installation was by and large relatively easily.
Only to the supplied ISO cable, the orange and red cord had to be exchanged,
as in the Polo of permanent plus and the connected Plus (ignition) are twisted.
But this are already the plug contacts in the cable available.
They need only to reposition.
The German manual which is attached as far as one is a little technical understanding brings to read and implement.
I have tested the features Bluetooth with an iPhone 5, as well as the CD drive with original and fired Cd`s in Audio and MP3 format. DAB + and FM reception were also tested while driving.
The pairing with the iPhone 5 worked immediately.
The phone is working properly. The radio will automatically connect to the iPhone when it turns on.
The volume should be set at the first call. For me it was a little too quiet.
One can understand his opposite number on the built-in speaker very well.
The included microphone I stuck right next to the radio under the vent.
The call recipient may also understand a well.
An echo I could not perceive during the conversation.
The control panel is designed very clearly my opinion and easy to handle well.
Too bad that no case for the control panel is.
That would have been a treat.
The FM receiver works fine. If the FM transmitter to be available in DAB changes the Radio
automatically in the digital receiver.
The transition requires a few milliseconds (you can tell just) but it will be compensated by a brilliant sound.
The USB port I have tested with a USB flash drive and MP3, s. Works seamlessly.
Has to come to the menu and in the settings you press the Menu button long.
It is controlled by the volume control.
By turning the volume knob to changes in the respective menu items.
Press once activates the menu item.
By turning this confirms changed and pressing again.
Use the Back button to terminate the whole.
Everything so far quite easily.
However, not recommended while driving!
The lighting can be individually adjusted in the color and adjust the lighting intensity.
Best feature I find. I have set it in blue as the rest of Amaturenbeleuchtung VWs.
All in all I'm very happy with the JVC DB95BTE and I can at the moment as far as in the one day
test could highly recommend.
