Fritz box in the middle of a large new house with 50cm brick walls, 10 meters away a brick Stallbebäude, there is the outlet there behind two other walls in a garage. DECT telephony there only with minimal reception, talks break off again, Telephone booked in and back out again. FRITZ! DECT receives, switches and transmits readings of this safe and stable location. So even much greater range as DECT telephony and DECT is already significantly better WLAN (Wi-Fi is already outside the house where the Fritz box stands by 50cm brick wall at the end).
A LAN port would have been me rather. LAN is in the garage (for PV systems). Turn and fairs via LAN is only possible with the FRITZ! Powerline 546E, the costs but more than twice as much, consumes 4-6 watts (for PowerLAN's on mains) and switches
only 2,300 watts. The PowerLAN FRITZ! Powerline 546E I do not need, the wireless network may not, but anyway the consumption is still then at around 4 watts, as I have read. The FRITZ! DECT 200 only needs 0.9W standby and switched 1.5W. Pure LAN switch sockets there, unfortunately I found only that without measurement / counting.
