Since I had a Galaxy S2 before the changeover to the Galaxy A7 is already enormous. I had to get used to the phone first. It's very big with its 5.5 "screen.
At first I was concerned that it be possible also might be too big, but I was proved wrong. Despite the size, it is very comfortable to hold and is in addition also still very light (141 grams). The metal surface feels comfortable and makes a high quality impression. Better than any plastic case. With only 6.3 mm, the phone is very thin, just looks sexy.
Was also one of the main reasons why I have brought it to me, along with the metal housing. Unfortunately, you can the battery, due to the Unibody, not expand, but I gladly accepted. The optics makes it easy to leave.
The home button and the knob on the side have a pleasant pressure point. The slots for the Nano SIM and memory card are neatly tucked away and therefore do not disturb the overall picture. The only complaint is the print on the back, with the CE standard. But that could not be avoided well. Is printed only very pale. I can read it only by very close Hingucken. If you use a shell is it eh no longer be seen.
The service is impeccable, I have no stuttering or similar may find easy runs smoothly. What would you expect with a different Octa-Core. At heavy load the phone is a little warm, but that's normal. But the big app icons bother me a bit. With a little knowledge, you can change that too. The AMOLED display shows what it can and completely convincing in Full HD. The colors are simply breathtaking.
The camera takes great pictures, very detailed. Am I not expect from my old phone (S2). Since I've been thinking my SLR for sale. The front camera is also unusually good, with 5MP. Although I'm not Selfies, it hurts not to have a good front camera. Maybe I take the him some day, except for testing. :)
Battery I can not say much. The mobile phone is now two days in operation and still at 64%. The 2600mAh battery is strong in any case, in my usage, sufficient. In case of heavy use, such as videos, etc. I already wÃ'rde then the brightness etc. runterschrauben to not overload the battery power to consume.
I have inserted a 32GB memory card, was immediately recognized and running quickly. Transfer rate I now have not been tested, perhaps I submit that is after.
The connectivity and Gesprä'chsqualität unfortunately I could not test, I am still waiting for my new SIM card. Of course I did not think of me already ordered a nano-SIM. Once I get the. I'll edit this post yet. When I'm in a good mood, I invite then even a few pictures.
I hope the review can help a few people, my first, was so just deflowered. So be merciful to me.
UPDATE 1:
So I could now test the phone a little more extensively, since I now have my Nano Sim. Call quality is great, no problems even LTE works great. Always good reception and the O2 network.
On the battery, I have already said that he's going great, but now I have done some benchmarks, including a battery test. As you can see in the screenshot, the battery performance is among the best.
In the other benchmarks cuts the A7 very well. Who need there already a S6 for 699 if you get an A7 for 499 (now 479). The 200 extra charge for a 64-bit CPU and better resolution, is not necessary in my eyes. Especially since you can not use a memory card in S6.
Hope the benchmarks help some people in your purchasing decision.
Benchmark used:
AnTuTu Benchmark v5.6.2 (with AnTuTu Tester)
A1 SD Bench
Memory card used:
Transcend microSDHC 32GB Premium TS32GUSDCU1 Class 10 memory card UHS-I (2013) -> the cell phone could also handle higher transfer rates, only the card restricts the cell phone
