I heard one day in April the single "Sugar, We're Goin Down" on the radio and was immediately impressed. I am already for years a huge fan of pop-punk bands like Blink 182, Simple Plan and New Found Glory. So the album was needed. And it surprised me really positive! All tracks (except remixes) are real popular song and the disc rocks from the first until the last second. In particular, I would like to highlight here "Sugar, We're Goin Down", "I've got a dark alley ..." Get busy dying ... "and especially" XO ". Even the first album" Take this to Your Grave "and the acoustic EP from 2004 moving at a similar level.
"From under the cork tree" is definitely the second best pop-punk album of the year. Only "Coming Home" by New Found Glory is just a tad bit better.
