Super game, but perhaps not for everyone.

For the graphics I have to say that I am impressed at many points.
The cars look good and neat and the environment looks good. Read by a level of a PS2 title as in other posts can be no question here. Because maybe should be thinking about a new TV ... Only the characters seem not quite as varied as I would hope.

Very good is also the sound implemented (the car!). Who calls a plant its own will have much more fun here. Engine sounds act powerfully und..böse :)
Environment etc fits perfectly (birds, waves etc.)
Particularly negative synchronization is here but managed ... The timing is atrocious, and especially many speakers could not muster well. Point is that it comes to cars here! And as the sound is really fun!

Was often criticized the control. Now it is true that there need here for some time, until you get used to it. May generalize the well not! Each car has a difficulty which has a direct impact on driving experience. Some car control very directly, others have more Tolerance. The variety should however ensure that everyone could find something Matching here. Otherwise, be patient and / or play with the control values ​​as steering sensitivity helps etc when favorite car even further! ;)

To the extent I can only say that I was there too impressed. Many cars from different classes and two wonderful islands. Also on "stretching" and more: Enge City, long straights, offroad, mountains, forests and natural broad highways for the PS monsters.

I would like to make three points, which are often criticized:

- No damage model
Yes and no. Dents, scratches, bumper crooked or warped doors are. Those who want to destroy his car totally should resort to Flatout might prefer. In addition, it does not look like the manufacturer, if you shred their cars. Therefore I find the existing solution adequate.

- No pedestrian, so inanimate environment

- Far too little traffic
So really ... Of course it's not exactly realistic with the number of cars, but how about if we had to curves with our 300 or more horsepower monsters all the time with 40km / h through the traffic ??? Eben ... So you can extend high speeds but still avoid the traffic. And the bottom line is the island acts by no means "dead".

What I personally did something bad like the "status" of the game. Or rather the patch needed. I have had a non-functioning radio in the two days, floating trees behind a church and trouble with car won! These are not for sale and they can be repainted, nor remove stickers. Pink Mustang with hearts and kiss imprint now blocked a valuable garage space !! Today a Tuaregs came with flames and "RYAN" to it. Just horrible ... The problem was by mail already at Eden Games, so let's hope for a release of the possibilities.
The servers have gone completely to its knees, I would like to mention, but this is not a negative point of the game for me, but rather a lack of foresight of the person responsible.
EDIT: I was really patient, but by the online still nothing is working properly and is carried out at the casino loses money by server problems without end to deduct from a star!
If the announced patch for appropriate (relating to LANGE patch development time) ensure improvement, the game also deserves full marks again.
EDIT²: Patch came, but the blessing was not! In conclusion I can say for myself that the game will buy definitely soon
(EDIT: Review Sunday evening and Monday afternoon posted bought the game!). With dream cars on dream islands nozzles, summer, sun, beach, sea ... Perfect blend. Graphics and sound will please me well, to the control I've got used and then patched again everything fits :)
In the two days I had massive fun and it can therefore recommend. Fans of racing games should take up GT5 perhaps more, since not exclusively race is run.
