I'm incredibly excited about the idea to bring the good old Ostrock heroes together on a stage and to revive their truly unique hits again. I was last night at the finale of the Tour in Berlin here and am still impressed by the hard experiences. It was an extremely successful journey through time that 2008 will find its continuation. However, this CD consisting entirely of admissions of old hits, thrilled me only conditionally. For it was twenty or thirty years ago precisely this uniqueness of the individual bands and songs that Karat, Silly and Co. did so unique, so the remakes of titles sound somehow all the same and rather softened on this disc concerning the sound. Okay, the movie orchestra in the background bears the His help, but brilliant songs like "Mont Klamott" or "The Blue Planet" is taken by the former power. I have the impression that all the songs were recorded by a single studio band. I have the original versions at any rate a thousand times better, but what is the idea behind the Ostrock Classics diminish, in any way. I am now looking forward to the DVD recording of the Berlin concert.
