Negative
- - The backlight can be seen in the dark / black images on the right side it shines most, what has a different user already criticized here.
- 97% sRGB (Even the Dell U2415 has 99% sRGB using the same panel.)
But since I do not work in professional photo area, perfectly adequate.
- Price (. ~ 200 more expensive than the Dell U2415, the LG has the same panel "LM240WUA-SSA1" installed)
If you want to use the software "Eizo ScreenManager Pro", the included USB cable has to be connected with the PC!
I am of a CRT monitor 19 inches, which was already more than 10 years old, switched.
Some TN panels that time I had to replace the CRT also had time, but they could never convince me of the picture quality, so I had to keep my CRT monitor to date.
The tube had about a consumption of 100 watts, the Eizo consumes me 21% brightness about 10 watts. Say a Erspanis of 90 watts.
With 8 hours of work on a daily basis monitor the monitor in ~ 5 years, paid for by yourself!
The Dell U2415 was from the illumination almost perfect, at least I could not see the backlight at my copy. Only the picture I found not as good as the Eizo EV2455, (even in games), besides, the Eizo is better understood as the Dell with other resolutions. I also have no calibration, Mr. Kast from another review had his Dell U2415 monitors yes specially still need to calibrate so that you are the Eizo par.
In addition, the Dell works with black bars, if you set the resolution lower, the Eizo can select how you want to have the image. The Dell U2415 is certainly also a good monitor, if I had not had the Eizo for comparison, I would have been happy with the Dell U2415 determined.
I'll keep the Eizo EV2455 monitor, even if there are slight illumination problems on the right side.
I think with the Eizo am I first supplied for a few years and with the 5 year warranty on the safe side.
Soon Asus brings the MG279Q a WQHD with 144Hz IPS model, because you have to look for the first time as the reflected quality default.
Particularly interesting for gamers.
Update:
I have asked Amazon to an exchange monitor since I maybe just simply had bad luck.
Although the replacement monitor had top right no illumination problems, but the lower left and substantially greater than the first monitor.
I now keep the first monitor, but still quite annoying, considering that it is a 500 Monitor.
If you think about it, the LG monitor with the same panel !! Offering "5ms, 16:10, 1920x1200, Flickersafe" for only ~ 190, it's a slap in the face when you LOSS here and there has to accept at a 500 Monitor.
The problem is probably due to the new technology, AH-IPS with whiteLED that are not yet 100% mature.
