For me, the mouse works fine for a month on a MacBookPro (from July 2009) with a Samsung NC20 netbook Leopard and Ubuntu Linux. Both requires no driver installation.
I use the mouse a lot for image editing / vector drawing and have no problems with the precision or with delays. In games I have not yet tested the mouse.
The only delays that I have noticed is when waking up from sleep after a few seconds of inactivity, which is but I also only noticed after I read about it here. But I have to put with all other wireless mice because nunmal run on battery and sleep in between A similar delay.
The only explanation for the bad reviews I think are problems with the Bluetooth connection, for example by radio interference or poorly processed antennas in some computers / Bluetooth adapters. Interference sources can be, for example: wireless (does not bother me but), cordless landline telephones (DECT), other wireless keyboards / mice with USB adapter (2.4GHz).
