Now for the (massive) criticisms. My review is based on extensive testing of two devices that are already in the return. Why? The answer is: Poor sound and faulty workmanship.
The speakers with SonicMaster stereo sound are underground bad. It is promised a stereo sound experience, but you get such a oversteer and therefore noise, so you can operate the equipment mE almost only with headphones. The speaker problem is unfortunately not an isolated case and occurred in both devices. I conclude on substandard speaker components.
The material processing was deficient in both devices. The first unit of the frame which surrounds the display was made very carelessly. The cut edges were not straight, there was waves and protruding corners. On the second unit, the front and back were sloppy connected. The gap dimensions I could poke a credit card. As we know, all good things come in threes, I hope in the third copy, what to get now, of improvement.
The deficits in speakers I can get used to the need, as often as they are not used. When the processing at the third unit but again not up to scratch, I'll refrain from Asus. That would be a real shame, because I'm used to another by the manufacturer. I call an Ultrabook Asus S56 and tablet Transformer Prime TF201 my own and here the processing is excellent!
Again, the price / performance ratio is (actually) excellent, but for this price you should expect decent components and processing. I would really like if more stars, but it should not be that you have to order more than one device to perk you get a decent. Therefore, the unit of mine gets three stars.
